How to Set Up Your Samsung Xpress M2070W Printer

Welcome! In this comprehensive guide, we'll walk you through the process of setting up your Samsung Xpress M2070W multifunctional printer. From connecting to your Wi-Fi network to successfully printing and scanning documents, we've got you covered. Let's unpack the essentials so you can start using your printer effectively.
1. Unboxing and Setting Up Your Printer
Make sure your Samsung Xpress M2070W is unboxed and ready for setup. Remove all protective films and plastic protectors from the printer's body. Ensure that a toner cartridge is installed by opening the scanning unit. Lift it gently until it locks in place, then fully open the lid. If the cartridge is not installed, align the new or old cartridge with the slots inside and gently glide it down until it clicks into place. Close all the lids once done.
2. Loading Paper into the Printer
Open the paper tray and adjust the paper guides to fit the size of your paper. Typically, you'll be using A4 size. Insert the stack of paper into the tray until it touches the stopper, taking care not to overfill it to avoid jams. Adjust the guides according to the paper size markers on the tray.
3. Connecting the Printer to Power
Locate the power input on the back panel of the printer and connect the power cable. Avoid setting up a USB connection just yet, as Wi-Fi setup is our first focus. Press and hold the power button until the printer powers on and allow it to complete its initialization process.
5. Checking Wi-Fi Direct Information
Press the "Menu" button and use arrows to find "Network configuration". Print the network configuration page to access important information such as the printer's SSID, IP address, and Wi-Fi network details. Keep this page handy for future reference.
6. Connecting Without WPS
To connect manually by using Wi-Fi Direct access the printer's web settings via a browser using the Direct IP address, and configure the network as needed.
7. Printing and Scanning Documents
Once your printer is set up on the network and drivers are installed, you can start printing and scanning. To print, open any document and select the print option. Choose your Samsung printer and adjust your print settings accordingly. For scanning, you can use Samsung's Mobile Print app to operate the scanner remotely. Simply place your document on the scanner bed, and let the app guide you through the process.
