Welcome to today's tech tip. If you're looking to enhance the security of your OnePlus 13R 5G, setting up fingerprint recognition is a great way to start. In this guide, I'll walk you through each step of the process, from accessing the right settings to successfully registering your fingerprint.
To begin, unlock your OnePlus 13R 5G and locate the Settings app. This app is typically represented by a gear-shaped icon and can be found on your home screen or within the app drawer.
Once inside the Settings, scroll down until you find the option labeled "Security and Privacy." Tap on this option to proceed to the next step.
Inside the Security and Privacy section, look for "Device Unlock" and tap on it. This menu includes options for both fingerprint and face unlock.
You'll now see a screen with both fingerprint and face unlock options. Since we're setting up fingerprint recognition, tap on "Fingerprint and Face Unlock," and then select "Fingerprint."
You'll be presented with a statement regarding the use of the fingerprint feature. Carefully read through it, and then tap on the agreement button to continue.
Before you can set up your fingerprint, the system will ask for your existing lock screen password. Enter it to confirm your identity. If you haven't set a password yet, you will need to create one at this stage.
You're ready to register your fingerprint! When prompted, gently place your desired finger on the sensor area. It's important to vary the angle of your finger and adjust the placement slightly each time you touch the sensor. Continue this process until your entire fingerprint has been successfully captured.
Once the fingerprint is registered, tap on "Done." The system might suggest setting up Face Unlock for added security, but you can choose to do this at a later time if you wish. Your fingerprint is now registered as "finger one."
Congratulations! Your OnePlus 13R 5G is now equipped with fingerprint security. and subscribe for more tech tips.
