When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed as below:
- When passing this device on to third parties, this operating manual must also be handed over.
- This device complies with technical standards and the relevant safety requirements for electrical devices.
- The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damages arising from improper use or from failure to comply with the instructions in this manual.
- Before first use, please check whether the type and mains voltage match the specifications on the nameplate.
- A residual current circuit breaker with a residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA in the house circuit offers additional protection. Consult an electrician for information on the device and installation.
- Use the device only for its intended purpose.
- This device is for indoor use only.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or by those with a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Risk of electric shock! Do not submerge the product in water.
- Do not use the device if it is damaged. To avoid hazards, defective components must only be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department or similarly qualified persons.
- Never transport the device during use.
- Do not open the device. Do not insert any foreign objects inside of the outer casing.
- Never touch the power plug with wet or damp hands.
- Do not operate this device with wet hands or when standing on a wet floor.
- Regularly inspect the power plug and cord. If the power cord of this device has been damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer service or by a similarly qualified person in order to prevent hazards.
- Prevent damage to the cable due to squashing, bending or scuffing on sharp edges.
- Lay the power cord out in such as way that accidentally pulling on it or tripping over it will not be possible.
- Do not pull on the power cord when disconnecting the plug from the power outlet. Do not wrap the power cord around the device.
- When using an extension cord, make sure it is suitable for the corresponding power rating.
- Always unplug the device when left unattended, during disassembly, assembly or cleaning.
- The blades are sharp, exercise extreme caution when cleaning.
The blades must be still before opening the lid.- The blades may not be resharpened. The blades were balanced exactly by the manufacturer. If the blades are no longer in balance, the device may be damaged and pose a risk to the user.
- Do not operate the device when empty. This may damage the motor.
SHORT CORD PURPOSE

Longer power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
If an extension cord is used:
- the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the product;
- the extension cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can unintentionally be pulled on or tripped over by children or pets.
POLARIZED PLUG
If this appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other), please follow the below instructions:
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If you are unable to fit the plug into the electrical outlet, try reversing the plug.
If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use the plug with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted into the extension cord. Do not alter the plug of the product or any extension cord being used with this product. Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.

PARTS IDENTIFICATION

BEFORE FIRST USE
- Make sure all packaging materials are removed and check the device and accessories for damages.
- Clean the device as described under Cleaning & Maintenance.
- Grind only coffee, nuts or spices in this appliance.
- When not in use and during cleaning, always unplug the unit.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Fully unwind the power cord from the cord storage, and then guide it through the cord guide on the back of the coffee grinder.
- Turn the lid in opposite direction of the arrow marking (open lock symbol), and then lift it up.
- Fill the coffee receptacle with the desired amount of coffee beans. Do not overfill the receptacle!
- Install the lid on the coffee grinder, and then turn it in the direction of the arrow marking (closed lock symbol) until it clicks into place.
- Connect the power plug to an appropriate outlet.
- Push the on/off button to start the coffee grinder.
- Release the on/off button to stop the coffee grinder.
- Turn the lid in opposite direction of the arrow marking (open lock symbol), and then lift it up.
- Remove the ground coffee. If the ground coffee is very fine, it is possible for it to be sticky. Use the provided brush to remove the ground coffee.

NOTE:
Coffee aroma is affected by heat. Operate the coffee grinder within as short intervals as possible (max. 30 sec.) in order to prevent generation of heat.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- Clean the coffee grinder regularly. Old ground coffee residue inside the device can cause oxidation and therefore adversely affect the coffee flavour.
- Use a slightly damp cloth and, if necessary, a little bit of mild cleaning agent to clean the casing. Make sure that no liquid enters the device interior.
- Always dry the device after cleaning.
- Use the brush to clean the blades and the inside of the coffee receptacle.
- Rewind the power cord using the cord storage.
- Store the coffee grinder at a dry, cool location protected against moisture.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR HOUSING IN WATER

NOTE:
- Unplug the device before every cleaning. Never submerge the device in water or other liquids.
- Do not use alcohol, acetone, benzine, abrasive cleaning agent, etc. to clean plastic components.
- Do not use any hard brushes or metal objects.
