PARTS IDENTIFICATION

BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove all packaging materials before using. Wipe clean the interior and exterior of the machine with a damp cloth. When using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.
NOTE:
The kettle has 2 indicator lights that cycle on and off during use:
The "Power/Ready" light will illuminate when
- Kettle is plugged in
- Kettle reaches desired temperature
- Kettle has boiled
The "Heat indicator" light will illuminate when
- Kettle is warming to desired temperature
- Kettle is in process of boiling
- Use only cold water when filling the device.
- Use only filtered water to reduce lime scale buildup.
- The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. marks.
- Switch the kettle off before removing it from the 360° swivel base.
- Always use lid when operating or water may not warm or boil to set temperature. Be certain lid is closed tightly.
- The swivel base and exterior of the kettle must never become wet.
- Kettle body used must match the 360° swivel base.
HOW TO USE
- Take caution when opening the lid, the water is very hot. Wait a few minutes for condensation to evaporate. After boiling water, the outside of the kettle can be very hot. Only grasp by the handle. Do not try to lift kettle body with both hands.
- Do not open the lid when pouring. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected. The kettle is only to be used with the base provided.
- Open the lid by pulling the lid up. Fill the kettle with water. Do not overfill. Be sure not to exceed the MAX line. To close the lid, push down until it snaps into place. Always place the 360° swivel base on a flat, level surface.
- Place the kettle onto the 360° swivel base. Check if the voltage at your location is the same as that of the kettle. Details can be found on the label of the kettle base.
Using the Kettle for Boiling- To boil water at 212°F, press the Power Switch located below the handle on the kettle.
- When the water is boiled, the power switch will pop up automatically, the Heat indicator will turn off and the Power/Ready indicator will illuminate. NOTE: Stop boiling by manually turning off the Power Switch at any time.
Using the Adjustable Temperature Knob
- Turn the Adjustable Temperature Knob clockwise from 0°F to 190°F to keep water at desired temperatures. The Heat indicator will illuminate when warming. When desired temperature is reached, the Heat indicator will turn off and the Power/Ready indicator will illuminate.
NOTE: The adjustable temperature knob and the power switch work independent of each other. When using the adjustable temperature knob, the water will heat to desired temperature without boiling. The kettle and indicator lights will cycle on and off to maintain the desired temperature. To stop the heating cycle, turn the adjustable temperature knob to 0°F.
- After boiling, disconnect the kettle from the electric supply.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and allow to cool completely before cleaning. Never immerse the base or cord in water or allow moisture in these parts.
Removal Of Mineral Deposits And Lime Scale
Mineral deposits in tap water may cause the kettle interior to discolor. To remove, use Liquid De-scaler, a non-toxic cleaner
OR
- Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and the remainder with water. Let it stand overnight. DO NOT BOIL!
- Empty the solution from the kettle, any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth. Fill the kettle with water, bring to boil, then discard the water. Repeat and the kettle will then be ready to use.
- The outside of the kettle can be wiped with a damp cloth.
NOTE:
Lime scale forms over time when water is heated. It is natural and harmless, but it may produce a powdery substance or mineral-like chunks that can get into your beverages and affect the taste. The heating element in this kettle is designed to help reduce scale buildup, the filter helps prevent particles from pouring into your beverage.
Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle.
Cleaning Appearance Of Housing
Wipe the housing with a warm damp cloth, never use harsh chemicals or cleaners.

- A short cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the cord is not in a position where it can be pulled on inadvertently.
- Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
- Do not use the appliance on a gas or electric cooking top or over or near an open flame.
- Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However, if it is necessary to use an extension lead, ensure that the lead is suited to the power consumption of the appliance to avoid overheating of extension cord, appliance or plug point. Do not place the extension cord in a position where it can be pulled on by children or animals or tripped over.
- This appliance is not suitable for outdoor use. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
- Do not carry the appliance by the power cord.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended during use. Always unplug the unit when not in use or before cleaning.
- Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even, stable surface. Do not place the unit on a hot surface.
- Ensure that the unit is switched off after use.
- The manufacturer does not accept responsibility for any damage or injury caused by improper or incorrect use, or for repairs carried out by unauthorized personnel.
- In case of technical problems, switch off the machine and do not attempt to repair it yourself. Return the appliance to an authorized service facility for examination, adjustment or repair. Always insist on the use of original spare parts. Failure to comply with the above mentions precautions and instructions, could affect the safe operation of this product.
- DO NOT OVER- FILL THIS KETTLE.
- NEVER ATTEMPT TO MOVE OR CLEAN THIS PRODUCT UNTIL IT HAS COMPLETELY COOLED.
- DO NOT USE AUTOMATIC TIMERS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS PRODUCT.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- Make sure unplug the unit, switch off the machine before remove plug from wall outlet.
- Removed lid while the water is boiling may occur scalding. Do not open or remove the lid while operating to avoid the risk of burns or scalding. Keep the lid down and tightly closed while kettle working to allow the internal sensor to function correctly. Failure to do so may result in overheating, water boiling over and damage to the kettle.

SHORT CORD PURPOSE
Note: A short power cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord.
Longer power- supply cords or extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
If an extension cord is used:
- the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the product;
- the extension cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can unintentionally be pulled on or tripped over by children or pets.
GROUNDED PLUG
For your protection, this unit is equipped with a 3- conductor cord set that has a molded 3- prong grounding- type plug, and should be used in combination with a properly connected grounding- type outlet.
If a grounding- type outlet is not available, an adapter may be obtained so that a 2- slot wall outlet can be used with a 3- prong plug. The adapter must be grounded by attaching its grounding lug under the screw of the outlet cover plate.
NOTE: Do not move the grounding prong.
Before using an adapter, it must be determined that the outlet cover plate screw is properly grounded. If in doubt, consult a licensed electrician. Never use an adapter unless you are sure it is properly grounded.
