REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER (KEY FOB)
Lock
Press to lock all doors and tailgate.
Unlock
Press to unlock the driver's door or all doors and tailgate.
Remote Windows 
Press and hold the
Unlock button until the windows are fully open. To enable, go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock and Start on the infotainment screen.

Remote Mirror Folding 
To turn the automatic mirror folding on or off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience on the infotainment screen.
Vehicle Locator/Panic Alarm
Press and release to locate your vehicle. The exterior lamps flash and the horn chirps 3 times. Press and hold to activate the alarm. Press again to cancel the alarm.
Power Release Tailgate 
Press twice to lower the tailgate.
Remote Vehicle Start 
Press twice to start the engine from out side the vehicle. After entering the vehicle, press the ENGINE START/STOP button. To cancel a remote start, press and hold the
button until the parking lamps turn off.
Note: To change the remote settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock and Start on the infotainment screen.

KEYLESS ACCESS SYSTEM
The Keyless Access System enables operation of the front doors and tailgate without removing the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter (key fob) from your pocket or bag. The key fob must be within 3 feet of the tailgate or the door being unlocked/locked.
KEYLESS UNLOCKING
With the key fob within range:

- Press the button on the driver's door handle to unlock the driver's door; press again within 5 seconds to unlock all doors and tailgate.
- Press the button on the front passenger's door handle to unlock all doors and tailgate.
- Press the button on the tailgate to lower the standard tailgate.
KEYLESS LOCKING
With the ignition off, the key fob removed from the vehicle, and all doors closed:
- Press the button on any front door handle to lock all doors and tailgate immediately.
- If Passive Locking is turned on in the Settings menu, all doors will lock automatically after a short delay.
Note: To change the lock settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock and Start on the infotainment screen.

KEYLESS (PUSH-BUTTON) START
The Remote Keyless Entry transmitter (key fob) must be in the vehicle to turn on the ignition.
STARTING THE ENGINE/ON
- With the transmission in Park or Neutral, press and hold the brake pedal and then press the ENGINE START/STOP button to start the engine. The green button indicator will illuminate.
Note: If the key fob battery is weak, place the key fob in the pocket in the center storage compartment (under the bench seat), left center console cupholder (bucket seats) or in the center console pocket next to the cupholders (uplevel models) to enable the engine to start. Replace the key fob battery as soon as possible.

STOPPING THE ENGINE/OFF
- Shift to Park and then press the ENGINE START/STOP button to turn off the engine. The green button indicator will turn off.
Power will be available for 10 minutes to operate the audio system until the driver's door is opened and to operate the windows and sunroof
until any door is opened.
ACCESSORY MODE
With the engine off and the brake pedal not depressed, press the ENGINE START/ STOP button to place the ignition in Accessory Mode. The amber button indicator will illuminate. Press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for several seconds to place the ignition in Service Mode to operate additional systems.

ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE
- To apply the parking brake, press the
Parking Brake button on the left side of the instrument panel. - To release the parking brake, turn on the ignition, press the brake pedal and then press the
button.

DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER
The Driver Information Center (DIC) on the instrument cluster displays a variety of vehicle messages and system information.
BASE DIC CONTROL
- Use the trip odometer reset stem on the instrument cluster to access the DIC menu. Turn the stem to scroll through the menu. Press and hold the stem to reset an item.
UPLEVEL DIC CONTROLS 
Use the controls on the right side of the steering wheel to view the various menus.

- Press the thumbwheel to select or deselect an item to display in the Info menu.
SELECT DISPLAY LAYOUT
- Use the controls to select the Options menu.
- Select Display Layout, Left Side Info, Right Side Info or Lower Gauges.
- Use the thumbwheel to select or display an item.

MULTICOLOR HEAD-UP DISPLAY
The Head-Up Display (HUD) projects some operating information on the windshield. The HUD controls are located on the left side of the instrument panel.
HUD Position
Lift up or press down to adjust the position of the image. It cannot be adjusted side to side.
INFO
Press to select from four displays: Speed View, Active Safety View, Navigation View or Off- Road View.

Brightness
Lift up to brighten or press down to dim the display. Hold down to turn off the display.

The infotainment system uses a Bluetooth or USB connection to link to a compatible device, such as a smartphone or portable audio player/iPod ®, and offers hands-free voice control. For additional information, visit gmc.com/support.
MANAGING HOME PAGE ICONS
- Press the
Home button. - To enter edit mode, touch and hold the Home page icon to move.
- Continue holding the icon and drag it to the desired position, and then release.
STORING FAVORITES
Radio stations from all bands (AM, FM or SiriusXM
) can be stored in any order.
- Tune in a radio station. The sources menu is at the top of the Audio page.
- Select a desired page of favorite buttons.
- Touch and hold one of the favorite buttons to save the station.

SIRIUSXM WITH 360L

The personalized content of SiriusXM with 360L offers more than 200 channels, includ ing ad-free music, sports, comedy, talk and news, along with access to On Demand shows, performances and interviews. GOOGLE BUILT-IN

Google built-in provides access to your favorite apps, including Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play.
Google Assistant – Talk to Google to get hands-free help. Easily get directions, play media, control vehicle functions and more.
- To start, say "Hey Google," tap the Google Assistant icon on the Home page, or press the
Push to Talk button on the steering wheel.
Google Maps – Reach your destination faster with real-time traffic information, automatic rerouting and voice control. Sign in for personalized maps with home and recent locations.
Google Play – Download some of your favorite apps in your vehicle just as you would on your phone to listen to music, podcasts, audiobooks and more.

- Sign in to your Google Account to get your apps, messages, custom directions and more in your vehicle.
Note: Google built-in services are subject to limitations and availability may vary by vehicle, infotainment system and location. Select service plan required. Certain Google actions and functionality may require account linking. User terms and privacy statements apply.
APPLE CARPLAY® AND ANDROID AUTO™

Apple CarPlay or Android Auto capability is available through a compatible phone using the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto icon on the Home page.
- There are two ways to set up device projection:
- Wireless Connection – Connect your phone by pairing it to the in-vehicle Bluetooth system. Turn on wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in your phone's settings.
- Wired Connection – Connect your phone to a USB data port using the USB cable provided with your phone. Aftermarket USB cables may not work.
- Follow the instructions on the infotainment screen and the phone.
- The Apple CarPlay or Android Auto icon will illuminate when connected. Touch the icon to have your apps displayed.
- To exit Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, press the
Home button. To return to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, press and hold the Home button.

BLUETOOTH® SYSTEM
Read your Owner's Manual for important information about using the Bluetooth system while driving.
Before using a Bluetooth-enabled device in the vehicle, it must be paired with the invehicle Bluetooth system. The vehicle must be stopped to pair a device. Not all devices will support all functions.
PAIR A PHONE
- To use voice recognition, press the
Push to Talk button; after the prompt, say "Pair my phone." To use the infotainment screen, select the Phone icon > Manage Phones > Add Phone. - Start the pairing process on your phone. From the phone's Bluetooth settings, select the name shown on the infotainment screen.
- Follow the pairing instructions.
- When pairing is complete, the phone screen is displayed.
FIRST TO CONNECT PAIRED PHONES
Multiple phones can be paired to the Bluetooth system. The system connects to the phone that is set as First to Connect.
- To set the First to Connect phone, select Settings > Connections > Phone > Options for the connected phone > First to Connect.

WIRELESS PHONE CHARGING
The wireless charging system for smart phones is located on the center console. To check device compatibility, visit gmc.com/support. See your phone retailer for details on required phone accessories.

- The vehicle must be On, or Retained Accessory Power must be active.
- Remove all objects from the charging pad.
- Place the phone, screen up, on the pad.
- The
charging symbol will appear on the infotainment screen when charging. If not charging, remove the phone for 3 seconds, and rotate it 180 degrees.

4G LTE WI-FI® HOTSPOT
With the vehicle's available built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot, up to 7 devices (smartphones, tablets and laptops) can be connected to high-speed internet. Visit gmc.com/support for more information on use and limitations. For details about all available services, visit onstar.com.
- To retrieve the name and password for the hotspot, select the Wi-Fi Hotspot icon or go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi Hotspot on the infotainment screen.

POWER FRONT SEATS
SET MEMORY POSITIONS 
- With the vehicle in Park, adjust the driver's seat and power outside mirrors
to the desired positions. - Press and release the SET button on the driver's door. A beep will sound.
- Immediately press and hold button 1 or 2 until two beeps sound. Use the button that matches the Driver Information Center welcome message indicating driver 1 or 2 (key fob 1 or 2).
To store a seat position for more clearance when exiting the vehicle, repeat these steps using the
Exit button instead of button 1 or 2.
RECALL MEMORY POSITIONS 

- Press and hold button 1 or 2 or
Exit until the set position is reached. - To enable the memory positions to be recalled automatically when the ignition is turned on/off (for exit recall, the driver's door must be opened), go to Settings > Vehicle > Seating Position > Seat Entry Memory and Seat Exit Memory on the infotainment screen.
MASSAGE FEATURES 

- Turn the feature select knob (A) on the side of the seat to view massage settings on the infotainment screen. Use the 4 way control on the knob to adjust the selected setting.
- Press the small button (B) on the side of the seat to activate the most recent massage setting.

The Universal Remote System on the overhead console enables your vehicle to control 3 different devices, ranging from garage doors and gates to home lighting. DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS
Safety or driver assistance features are not a substitute for the driver's responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all times. Read your Owner's Manual for important feature limitations and information.
- To turn the following driver assistance systems on/off or to change system settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems on the infotainment screen.
SAFETY ALERT SEAT
– The driver's seat pulses — left side, right side or both sides — to alert the driver of the direction of potential hazards. Audible alerts may be selected instead.
FORWARD COLLISION ALERT – The
Vehicle Ahead indicator is green when a vehicle that you're following is detected and is amber when you're following a vehicle ahead much too closely. When approaching a vehicle directly ahead too rapidly, a red alert flashes on the windshield and rapid beeps sound or the Safety Alert Seat
pulses (if selected).

- Press the
Forward Collision Alert button on the steering wheel to set the alert timing to Far, Medium or Near.
FOLLOWING DISTANCE INDICATOR – The following distance to the vehicle ahead is indicated in seconds under the Info menu on the Driver Information Center. If no vehicle is detected ahead, dashes are displayed.
AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING – The system works with Forward Collision Alert to help you avoid or reduce the severity of front end collisions with a detected vehicle you're following. The system works at speeds below 50 mph. Camera technology is used to automatically provide hard emergency braking or enhance the driver's hard braking.
FRONT PEDESTRIAN BRAKING – During daytime driving below 50 mph, the system can detect pedestrians directly ahead and displays an
amber indicator. When approach ing a detected pedestrian too quickly, a red alert flashes on the windshield and rapid beeps sound or the Safety Alert Seat
pulses (if selected). The system may automati cally provide hard emergency braking or enhance the driver's hard braking. Nighttime and low visibility performance are limited.
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING – The
indicator (Work Truck) or
indicator (uplevel models) illuminates in white when the system is on and illuminates in green when avail able to assist. When crossing a detected lane marking without using a turn signal in that direction, the system flashes an amber
or
indicator on the instrument cluster and beeps sound or the Safety Alert Seat
pulses (if selected) on the side of the lane departure direction.
- To turn on or off, press the
Lane Departure Warning button on the center of the instrument panel.

LANE CHANGE ALERT WITH SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT
/TRAILER SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT
– While driving, the system displays a
warning symbol on the left or right side mirror when a moving vehicle is detected rapidly approaching or is in that side blind zone. When towing, the side blind zone is extended along the side of a trailer.* The warning symbol flashes if a turn signal is activated when a vehicle has been detect ed on the same side.
FRONT AND REAR PARK ASSIST
– During low-speed parking maneuvers, the system provides "distance to closest object" infor mation on the Driver Information Center and a beep sounds or the Safety Alert Seat
pulses (if selected). When an object is very close, a continuous beep sounds or the Safety Alert Seat
pulses (if selected).

- To turn on or off, press the
Park Assist button on the center of the instrument panel.
REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT
– When in Reverse, the system warns of detected cross traffic approaching in either direction by displaying a red alert on the infotain ment screen and beeps sound or the left or right side of the Safety Alert Seat
pulses (if selected).

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
The system enhances regular Cruise Control to maintain a driver-selected following gap — the time between your vehicle and a vehicle detected directly ahead — by accelerat ing or braking automatically while you continue to steer.

- Press and hold the
Cancel button to switch between regular
Cruise Control and
Adaptive Cruise Control. - Use the RES+ and SET controls to set/ adjust Cruise Control or Adaptive Cruise Control.
- With Adaptive Cruise Control active, press and release the
Following Gap button to select a targeted gap setting of Far, Medium or Near.
TOWING
When towing a trailer, the Adaptive Cruise Control following gap, acceleration rates and braking rates may be modified. The following gap setting displayed on the Driver Information Center will indicate when a connected trailer is detected.

TRACTION SELECT SYSTEM /FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE
TRACTION SELECT MODES
The Traction Select (Drive Mode) settings automatically adjust various vehicle control systems based on driving preferences, weath er and road conditions. The modes are dis played on the Driver Information Center (DIC).

- Rotate the control knob (A) to select a mode. Modes may include:
Normal – Use for normal driving.
Snow/Ice (2WD only) – Use for enhanced traction during slippery conditions.
Off-Road (4WD only) – Use for enhanced control on unpaved roads or trails at moderate speeds.
Tow/Haul – Press the
button to reduce shift cycling when towing or hauling heavy loads in stop-and-go traffic, rolling hills or busy parking lots.
FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE
Use the four wheel drive buttons (B) on the left side of the instrument panel to shift into and out of four wheel drive. The transfer case status is displayed on the DIC.
AUTO Automatic Four-Wheel Drive High – Use when traction conditions vary for auto matic shifting between 2WD and 4WD. Shift into this mode at any speed except when shifting from
.

Two-Wheel Drive High – Use for most streets and highways. Shift into this mode at any speed except when shifting from
.
Four-Wheel Drive High – Use when extra traction is needed or in most off-road driving. Shift into this mode at any speed except when shifting from
Four-Wheel Drive Low
– Use when driving off-road in deep sand, mud or snow, or on steep hills. Shift into or out of this mode when the vehicle is stopped or moving less than 3 mph with the transmission in Neutral.
N Neutral – Use to tow the vehicle. Read your Owner's Manual for the shift procedure.

HILL DESCENT CONTROL
Hill Descent Control sets and maintains vehicle speed from 1–14 mph while descending a steep incline in a forward or reverse gear.
- Press the
Hill Descent Control button on the center of the instrument panel. Vehicle speed must be below 31 mph to enable the system. The
symbol will illumi nate on the instrument cluster. - Increase or decrease speed by applying the accelerator or brake pedal, or use the Cruise Control +/– controls on the steering wheel. The adjusted speed becomes the new set speed. The
symbol flashes when the system is actively applying the brakes to maintain vehicle speed.

LIGHTING
LAMP CONTROLS
Rotate the control knob to activate the exterior lamps.
Off/On
AUTO
Automatically activates the exterior lamps depending on outside lighting conditions.
Parking Lamps
Headlamps
Fog Lamps
Press to turn the fog lamps on/off.
Instrument Panel Brightness
Press and hold the +/– buttons to adjust the instrument panel lighting.
Task Lighting 
Press to turn the forward facing outside mirror lamps on/off.
Cargo Lamp 
With the vehicle in Park, Reverse or Neutral, press to turn the cargo bed/hitch lamps and/or rear facing mirror lamps
on/off.

INTELLIBEAM SYSTEM 
The IntelliBeam system automatically turns the high beam headlamps on/ off based on traffic conditions at night when the lamp control is in the AUTO or
position and the system is activated, indicated by a green
on the instru ment cluster. A blue
appears when the high beam headlamps are on.
- To turn the IntelliBeam system on or off, press the
button on the end of the turn signal lever with the lamp control in the AUTO or
position.
Note: The fog lamps must be off to activate the IntelliBeam system. IntelliBeam activates the high-beam headlamps only when driving more than 25 mph.

TRUCK TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM
The
Low Tire Pressure warning light on the instrument cluster illuminates when one or more of the vehicle's tires is significantly underinflated. Fill the tires to the proper tire pressures listed on the Tire and Loading Information label, located below the driver's door latch. Current tire pressures can be viewed on the Driver Information Center.
The Tire Fill Alert provides visual and audible alerts to help with inflating a tire to the recommended tire pressure (does not apply to spare tire). When the recommended pressure is reached, the horn sounds and the turn signals change from flashing to solid.

CAMERA SYSTEM FEATURES

REAR VISION CAMERA
When the vehicle is in Reverse, a view of the area directly behind the vehicle displays on the infotainment screen. Camera view buttons
are on the screen.

- Touch the

button to change guidelines. - Touch the
Hitch View
button for a zoomed in view of the hitch area.
SURROUND VISION
The system uses multiple cameras to display a high resolution image of the area around your vehicle on the infotainment screen. Camera view buttons
are on the screen.

- Touch the
Guidance Lines/
Hitch Guidance button to change guidelines. - Touch the
Bed View button to check cargo or to view guidelines to help when hitching a 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer. Zoom functionality also available. - To display the available camera views when in Drive above 8 mph, touch the Camera icon on the infotainment screen and select the desired view. Touch X to exit the view.
ADDITIONAL TRAILER CAMERA VIEWS
Multiple views to aid in trailering are shown on the infotainment screen using the vehicle cameras and up to two additional wired GMC accessory cameras
mounted on the rear or interior of the trailer.
Transparent Trailer View screen

- Touch the
Rear Side View button for a biased split view of each side of the trailer (more of the left or right side will be shown based on trailer position). - Touch the
Transparent Trailer View button for a view behind the trailer.

Jack-Knife Alert
– The Jack Knife Alert displays a warning symbol when the truck/ trailer angle is in a possible jack-knife position and there is a potentially imminent collision situation. Beeps may sound or the Safety Alert Seat
may pulse (if selected). To adjust trailering settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Trailering.

REAR CAMERA MIRROR
The Rear Camera Mirror provides a wider, less-obstructed field of view than a traditional mirror to assist when driving, changing lanes and checking traffic conditions.

- On/Off
Pull or push the lever at the bottom of the mirror to turn the video display on or off. - Selection Control
Press and release the button to select the brightness, zoom, or tilt setting.
Adjustment
Press and release either button to adjust the selected setting.

POWER MIRRORS /TRAILERING MIRRORS
POWER MIRROR ADJUSTMENT

- Press the
Mirror Selector button to select the driver or passenger side mirror; use the four way control pad to adjust the mirror.
POWER FOLDING MIRROR
- Press the
olding Mirror button to fold or unfold the mirrors.
TRAILERING MIRRORS
The mirrors can be extended for better visibility when towing a trailer. The lower wide-field view mirror adjusts manually.

Manual Extension
- To extend the manual mirror, grasp the mirror housing and pull back and rear ward in one motion. The housing extends on a curved arc. Push in the housing to return the mirror to its original position.
Power Extension 
- Press the
Power Extend button to extend or retract the power mirror.
Note: Reset the power mirrors if they are adjusted manually by using the power controls to fold/ unfold or extend/retract the mirrors to their normal position.

GMC MULTIPRO TAILGATE OPERATION
The tailgate has 6 functional positions to improve access to the cargo box. To operate the tailgate, it must be unlocked or the key fob must be within 3 feet of the tailgate.
- Primary Gate
Open the primary gate for access to the cargo box.

With the primary gate open, the load stop helps keep longer items secure in the cargo box.

The inner gate folds down for easier reach into the cargo box to access items near the cab.

- Full-Width Step
With the primary gate open, the inner gate folds into a sturdy step (up to 375 lbs.) with a conve nient handle for easy cargo box entry and exit.

- Inner Gate Load Stop
With the primary gate closed, fold the inner gate for two tier storage and open the load stop to help keep longer items secure.

- Inner Gate Work Surface
With the primary gate closed, fold the inner gate for two tier storage or for use as a standing height work surface.

OPEN THE INNER GATE
- Press the upper button (A) on the tailgate.
Note: Do not lower the inner gate with the primary gate open if a hitch ball or trailer is attached.
ENABLE/DISABLE THE INNER GATE
The inner gate can be disabled to prevent it from being opened when a hitch or other equipment is installed.
- To disable or enable inner gate operation, with the key fob within range, press and hold the upper button (A) for 7 seconds.

OPEN THE PRIMARY GATE
- Press the lower button (B) on the tailgate.
- Press the
Power Tailgate button twice on the key fob. - Press the
Power Tailgate button on the center of the instrument panel.

- Press the lower button and then upper button (B, then A) on the tailgate consecutively.

PROGRADE TRAILERING SYSTEM
IN-VEHICLE TRAILERING APP 
The in vehicle Trailering App on the info tainment screen allows customized trailer profiles with a variety of helpful towing assistance features, including a hitching and setup checklist, trailer tire pressure and temperature monitoring
, trailer light testing, trailer theft detection and more. Trailering App information also is available with the myGMC mobile app.
Note: The Trailering App will monitor trailer presence, even while the vehicle is off, by periodically checking the trailer lighting circuits. On trailers equipped with LED lights, these periodic checks may cause the trailer lights to flash. This flashing will become more frequent if Theft Alert is enabled.

HITCH AREA LIGHTING
- Press the
Cargo Lamp button on the left side of the instrument panel to turn the cargo bed lamp or conventional hitch lamp on/off.
TRAILERING INFORMATION LABEL
The Trailering Information Label, located on the pillar between the driver and rear passenger doors, provides vehicle-specific weight and capability ratings.
INTEGRATED TRAILER BRAKE CONTROL (ITBC)
The ITBC system can be used to adjust the power output, or Trailer Gain, to the trailer brakes. The control panel is on the cen ter console. ITBC information is displayed on the ITBC page on the Driver Information Center.

- Squeeze the control together to manually apply the trailer brakes.
- Adjust the Trailer Gain by pressing the +/– adjustment buttons.
